What do you specialise in?

Since being admitted to the rolls as a solicitor in 2010, Kate has developed her expertise primarily in property law. Kate now heads up the Sheffield and Dronfield-based residential property teams that deal with property sales and purchases, matters of freeholds, leaseholds, and leasehold enfranchisement.

Kate's particular specialism lies in the administration of property based financial matters, which enables clients to make the most of their assets through means such as transfer of equity, remortgages, equity releases and estate agents.

Kate's Sheffield-based property team were once again short-listed for "Residential Property Team of the Year" at the Sheffield & District Law Society Awards.

Kate will be working closely with Head of Residential Property, Richard Joy to further develop the teams.

Looking to the future the duo say they are hoping to build on the existing expertise and capacity of the team, which has invested heavily in its IT infrastructure in recent years in order to best meet the evolving needs of clients.

The developments have included the launch of the firms online ‘Flying Start’ client portal which allows for much of the conveyancing transaction to be completed online, typically saving up to four weeks throughout the conveyancing process. The ability to deal with the transaction securely and electronically has significantly speeded up the onboarding and transaction times and allows clients to undertake the steps required at a convenient time without the need to attend our offices.
